Talk at the Conference “Gold, Innovation & Sustainability in Fashion” – May 29
On May 29, the President of FAIR Italy — and one of our faculty members — had the pleasure of participating in the event “𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱, 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗘𝗿𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿,” presenting on the topic: “Digital Product Passport: transparency and sustainability in the fashion supply chain.”
📌 The keynote focused on the critical — and often underestimated — role of data in developing the Digital Product Passport (DPP), with a specific focus on SMEs. From data collection to management and system interoperability, the talk highlighted how a strong data culture is essential to making the DPP a valuable tool — not just a compliance obligation.
💡 The presentation explored blockchain, traceability, brand-supplier trust, and the transformative potential of building an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem.
